Request account and data deletion
This page explains how users of Organic Shepherd can request deletion of their account and associated data.
If you can still access the app, the fastest route is the in-app delete-account flow. If you cannot access the app, use the email request option below.
1. How to request deletion
Option A: Delete inside the app
If you still have access to Organic Shepherd, open the app and go to the account area in Settings, then choose Delete account. This removes the current account login from the app's authentication system.
Option B: Request deletion by email
If you cannot sign in, email us from the address tied to your account, or include that address in your request.
2. What to include in your request
- The email address associated with your Organic Shepherd account.
- Your platform, such as Android or iPhone.
- A short note confirming that you want your account deleted.
- If you want help clearing local device data, mention that in the request.
3. What we delete
- Your account login and sign-in access for Organic Shepherd.
- Eligible account-linked cloud records that we can reasonably identify as belonging to your account, such as synced preference records, shopping-list sync records, and push-token records.
- Other account-linked data that you specifically ask us to review for deletion, subject to technical, legal, security, and community-integrity limits.
Data stored locally on your device is not automatically wiped from your phone by a web request. Local app data may remain until you clear app storage or uninstall the app.
4. What may be kept
- Locally stored data on your device may remain until you clear the app's storage or remove the app.
- Product submissions, moderation history, abuse-prevention records, security logs, legal-compliance records, and backup or audit records may be retained where reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce rules, prevent fraud, or comply with law.
- Aggregated or de-identified analytics that no longer reasonably identify you may be retained.
5. Timing and verification
We may ask you to verify control of the account email address before completing a deletion request. Once verified, we review eligible requests and process them as soon as reasonably practical.
Some retained records described above may persist after account deletion if they are needed for security, abuse prevention, moderation integrity, backup handling, or legal obligations.
